PROJECT OVERVIEW
This project was crafted as a short, cozy story about the arrival of winter, featuring a character who, upon spotting the first snowflake, hurries indoors to curl up with her cat and a warm cup of tea.
My aim was to try out some newly learned character animation techniques in After Effects, blending them with frame-by-frame animation and textured illustration for a more handcrafted feel.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Most of the character animation was done using the Duik Bassel plugin in After Effects. I created the frame-by-frame animation in Procreate and designed the backgrounds in Photoshop.
This project was inspired by the Domestika course Basics of Character Animation with After Effects by Yimbo Escárrega.
